Five German Dances from Opus 4
Carl Maria von Weber (1786 – 1826)
SATB Saxophone Quartet
Five German Dances from Opus 4 by Carl Maria von Weber, arranged for saxophone quartet SATB. Written in the fall of 1801, these dances by Carl Maria von Weber are a charming set of pieces for the novice pianist. A German Dance or Allemande is in many ways an early ancestor of a waltz. These short pieces are good for young players as they, for the most part, have a limited range and are not too rhythmically complicated.
