Franz Schubert (1797 – 1828)

SATB or AATB Saxophone Quartet

Entr’ Acte and Ballet Music from Rosamunde (D.797) by Franz Schubert, arranged for saxophone quartet. These two short works are part of the incidental music Schubert composed by for a play entitled Rosamunde. The play was a flop and has been permanently forgotten, but some of the music is among Schubert’s most famous works. Included in this arrangement are two of the best known numbers in the score, Entr’acte #3 and Ballet #2.
